Intensive Recovery Initiative (WIRI)
Mount Carmel Guild Behavioral Healthcare
This program is geared exclusively to helping women
in recovery to remain in community-based treatment by giving special attention
to the needs of women, including issues of domestic violence, incest and
sexual abuse, sexism, underemployment and poverty.
A caring and professional team of substance abuse specialists provide:
Safe inpatient or outpatient detoxification programs, Intensive outpatient
services (6-8 weeks), outpatient treatment, individual, group and family
therapy addressing parenting, abusive relationships, health and nutritional
counseling.
Vocational/educational goal planning; GED preparation
referral as appropriate; family members seen in individual, couples and
family treatment toward family wellness; coordinated access to medical
care with St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark; information and
referral; nursing services including health screening and HIV testing;
transportation.
